(good for him, and good for him for doing it on his own time too! not like any one is shocked, i get it, but still...)

haha...

so bryan just called, and for his birthday (today) we are going to see the regeneration tour!

i though he was saying "regeneration spore" on the phone and i was all sorts of confused.

does anyone know the camera policy for Wolftrap? it says no cameras, but i really find that kind of hard to believe. maybe i will bring it and leave it in the car, just in case... YAY BELINDA!

favorite flickr of the now

as is the case with my FFOTN, i didn't take this picture, but came across it in the "what other people are uploading" section.

the name of this is "Yeah, I'm in love" and it makes me cry a little. cause a dude wrote it. and i think it is so sweet that a dude would write that about his newborn son.

(my apologies, that pic was HUGE!)

i have seen some of these...

my favorite is Otto on the second page...wait until near the end to see what exactly he did...dogs being scolded

favorite flickr of the now...

I DID NOT TAKE ANY OF THE PICTURES I WILL BE POSTING IN MY "FAVORITE FLICKR OF THE NOW" POSTS!!!

(as is the case with some random photos, they might disappear or become private at some point, so i apologize if that happens...)

OMFG

from the "Best Week Ever" blog which i have as a friend on my lj so i can laugh all the time...except this shit did the opposite!

Eliot Glazer over at Urlesque uncovered a story that required me to wash my face, what with all the streaks of mascara and snot running down it, and apply a home defibulator kit to my own chest in order to restart my heart.

A little four-year-old named Meredith was devastated after the family dog, Abbey, passed away at the ripe old age of 14. So she did what we all do when we lose someone we love: she wrote a letter to God. Her mom and her put it into the mailbox, and when Abbey asked if God had gotten the letter, her mom didn't know what else to say other than yes. Well, we don't know if God actually received a copy, but a postal worker who clearly is an angel DID receive it, and decided to do something about it. A few days later, a package wrapped in gold paper arrived on Meredith's doorstep, containing Mr. Rogers' book When A Pet Dies, and a letter that said the following.

WARNING: If this doesn't make you cry, you might want to go to the doctor and make sure you're not dead.
Dear Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by. Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I am wherever there is love.

Love, God

(no subject)

i just stepped on a mother-bleeping wasp.

ow.

edit: the wasp was fine. it crawled out of the grass, laughed at me, then flew away to sting something else. sharks and wasps, folks. pure evil.

totally not a joking matter, but...

so one of the headlines on yahoo this morning was:

"Anthrax scientist commits suicide as FBI closes in"

and i will admit to being a kind of morbid person, with an active imagination, so of course i pictured him taking some crazy, never before heard of disease and going out in this crazy mad scientist blaze of glory...but he od'ed on tylanol and codene...?

i'm kind of let down...

Mamma Mia

Well...we went and saw Mamma Mia (Their "!", not mine...)

here's the thing...if you have seen the show on stage, chances are, the movie won't do anything for you other then make you want to go see the stage version again. it just works better live. Amanda Seyfried, however, was AWESOME. i was very pleasantly surprised by her, having enjoyed her in Big Love and even in Mean Girls. She has a decent voice, and actually stood out in the movie for me as a girl with a solid future in acting.

Meryl...well, let me say that i thought she was decent. i think she made up for her lack of vocal prowess by acting the songs out very well. and there was one point where she started sounding much better...and that would be after Pierce Brosnan started to sing. holy hell. that was bad. and for some reason, they even threw in an extra song for him that wasn't in the stage production. it was bad. the whole audience laughed it was so bad. and then groaned when he started singing again. it actually detracted from what, up until that point, was a fairly fun and fluffy movie.

again, worth renting to see amanda seyfried, but please, i beg of you, fast forward through pierce and go see the real live musical if you can. it is absolutely one of my favorite shows.

i think i might hit a matinee of Batman this week to make up for it. and i have read that it doesn't hurt to see it twice, so chances are, i will be doing that. Batman, that is, not Mamma Mia. no "!".
